Merry Go Round was founded on these simple truths...
Children outgrow their clothes quickly. Well-made children’s clothing is adorable, yet expensive. Timeless pieces should have more than one lifespan instead of being tucked away in a closet. Hand-me-down clothing is good for the environment. And, small kindnesses can make a big impact.
While searching for Easter outfits for her two young children, Meredith noticed an opportunity to start a secondhand children’s boutique and a creative way to support the local community.
Merry Go Round makes giving back easy. When you sell your clothes or shop the sale, you can feel good knowing that your contributions are adding up to make a difference locally. As the name suggests, the clothes and the good go ‘round and ‘round.
Having graduated from UVA, Meredith loves being back in Charlottesville with her husband Josh and two kids, Henry and Juliette. When she’s not sorting Merry Go Round clothing, she volunteers at her children’s school, planning events for The Music Resource Center, and as a member of the UVA Health Children’s Advisory Board
